Has the US published a list of the al Qaida suspects it is holding in Guantanamo Bay? Is there a reliable source of information which describes the backgrounds of the prisoners? I suspect that some of the people held in Guantanamo Bay also fought in Kosovo and Bosnia. If this is the case, then it would be a simple matter for President Milosevic to call these people to testify about their operations in the former Yugoslavia. It is one thing for President Milosevic to claim that he was fighting al Qaida, it is quite another for al Qaida to admit to fighting against Serbian infidels.

Michael Thomas, If they fought in the former Yugoslavia that may indeed be a reason for mr. Milosevic to call al Qaida suspects now held in Guantanamo Bay to testify in The Hague about their operations... Whether that would also be "a simple matter" for mr. Milosevic, I wonder - given the suggested conditions for communicating and preparing the "defense case" from the prison. Well, - in any case that is for mr. Milosevic and his assistants to evaluate and decide (and probably for mr. May and his co-judges to kindly confirm). I suspect however, that mr. Milosevic may not necessarily command the resources needed to research the "JURIST Trial Discussion" on a daily basis to pick valuable infos posted there, - like that suggestion of yours. In fact on the "JURIST Trial Discussion" a number of individuals have presented a great deal of work, and they may not always have thought about copying this to the President or his assistants, so that it can become of direct use. The SLOBODA/ Freedom Association however, which back up the President, really rely on people who are able and willing to assist. May I suggest, that you copy your suggestions directly to SLOBODA/Freedom Association: e-mail: slobodavk@yubc.net and phone: +381-(0)63-8862301.

I agree, it is practically impossible to get to the bottom of the screen. Please archive the forum every few days. People still post about this trial and do care about it. As a consequence of the lack of archiving, certain excellent posters have been unable to access the forum and provide their imput, such as Vera Martinovic.

Is it really "just ridiculous", that people (like Nikole J) finds it very difficult to read this Forum, - while maybe many more (such as Vera Martinovic?) cannot provide their input? May the fact, that the first post on this page is dated back to 1st September not be seen as deliberate obstruction on part of the Moderator?

This maybe a solution to most of the people that can't read the whole page in this forum. It' low tech but it worked for me. Most telephone lines coming from the jack have two wires for communications. If you change over to four wires from the jack to your plug into the computer, it will speed your connection to what it should be with a 56k modem. My speed went fron 264000 to 47000kb per sec with no other adjustments.

Hi there Milosevic's people! Have you seen today President Clinton's visit to Kosovo? Just spectacular, he was walking around, greeting the people and not hiding his emotions after seeing how much they appreciate freedom and peace! At least he is being honored for bringing the Serb terror to an end, while Milosevic is being honored by you folks for leading the horror and killing innocent people, both in Kosovo and Bosnia! Have you done any readings lately? Try the latest stories from Belgrade and see how can a man bring an entire nation to misery, like Milo did to his Serbs. You must be crazy or real nationalists to continue this forum!

So propaganda is wonderful, give the people a lie they love to believe and not reasoning will change faith: Clinton bombed Yugoslavia for 78 days to free the Albanian of Kosovo of their misery! Bush went to war to free Iraq, and to make the world a safe place! (never mind the weapons of mass destruction which Clinton also searched for 8 years and never found) and do you know why Iraq is in such bad shape? Not because two wars, or ten years of daily bombing, or the 12 years of sanctions and embargoes, oh no, just because it was a state run economy Stalin style ! I am glad that stalin economy rockets are resupplying the international space station (remember Mir?) since the competitive market driven space shuttle has run out of capital. CROCODILE CLINTON IN A "PAX AMERICANA" ROAD SHOW Ever since February 18, 2002 at 9:00 am - now more than one year and a half ago - when Ramadan Berisha from Kosovo was reacting to the JURIST's question on whether "Slobodan Milosevic is getting a fair trial" by sounding a "Yes!", adding that "I (Ramadan Berisha) think that he (Milosevic) himself should tell everything to the public" I've been waiting for Ramadan Berisha or someone else to follow up on this (or any similar) points of view. I've been waiting in vain, however, until today when Rita Weinberg of the lone Superpower emerges to suggest, that we - the entire range of JURIST posters - must be "crazy or real nationalists" (September 19, 2003 at 10:08 am). Sure! Very convincingly Rita urges us to "try the latest stories from Belgrade", noting that former U.S. President Clinton was "not hiding his emotions" when seeing how much "the people" appreaciate the freedom and peace" that Rita (presumeably along with a lot of other Superpoweranians?) believe, that he has been "bringing" to Kosovo. Well, Rita, I haven't "seen Clinton's visit", neither do I intend to do that; but even without the assistance of CNN I can easily imagine the tears of Clinton and the other crocodiles, - including mr. Hashim Thaqi and his gang. Also I have a clear recollection of President Clinton speaking emphatically to Kosovar "refugees" in some camp in Albania (in July 1999?) after the NATO air war on Serbia, warning them to avoid on their return to Serbia the clusterbombs and other munitions now deliberately spread all over the place in the name of Pax Americana... I understand that Clinton was somehow "honored" for his rôle in the war on Serbia? May I suggest to Rita, that Ambassador Willam Walker (the old CIA hand who as head of the OSCE Verification Mission in Kosovo did more than anyone else to convince the Weinbergs of this world of the need for "bringing Serb terror to an end") be duly honored as well? Hi, - why indeed don't you people elect mr. Walker for U.S. President? Well, - thanks for writing, Rita!

Do you know who helped Bosnian Muslims start atacking JNA and Serbs and Croats in B&H? . Do you know where these Muhajedeen went after Dayton Peace accord? . And finally do you know who blew the Twin Towers? . When you find all the answers think who was defending his Country against terrorism and who is playing GOD with the future and faith of other nations . And I don't want to go to IRAK - IRAN war and who was backing Saddam Hussein at that time , not to mention "Honest Oli" on the IRAN - CONTRA case , this is about "WILL MILOSEVIC GET A FAIR TRIAL" I think you have to do a little bit of reading , don't let yourself be brainwashed by FOX,CNN,ABC,NBC,BBC,etc and use your own judgement , and I wish you good luck.

Garentina Kraja: 10.000 > 900 - or not so? While doing "a little bit of reading" Rita Weinberg may wish to include the below references and even seek the assistance of Associated Press Writer Garentina Kraja whom the U.N. Wire - a supposedly independent service - on Tuesday, February 12, 2002 was quoting for reporting on "crimes blamed on Milosevic, who prosecutors say held ultimate command responsibility for the deaths of at least 900 ethnic Albanians and the evictions of 800,000 civilians from their homes." (1) Granted that 10,000 could indeed be said to be "at least" 900 we (and people like Rita Weinberg?) may still wonder what happened between February 11, 2002, when Garentina Kraja figured "at least 900 ethnic Albanians" (2) and today on September 19, 2003, when from the report on President Clinton's "spectacular" visit to Pristina University we are informed that "an estimated 10,000 ethnic Albanians were killed." Garentina Kraja should be able to assist Rita Weinberg in accounting for the difference... (1) Historic War Crimes Trial Opens In The Hague. Remember James Hilton and his book, Lost Horizons? It's a classic work of Himalayan fiction about some travelers who are hijacked in a plane and land in a remote, snowy place somewhere in Asia. Local people discover them and take them, blindfolded, to a utopian community in the mountains called Shangri-La. In this secret stronghold the people have created a civilization based on the Buddhist principals of peace and harmony. They also live to be hundreds of years old. Now a team of American adventurers claims to have located Shangri-La in or near Daocheng County. They are reportedly in Daocheng right now, filming with a National Geographic team of cinematographers led by Peter Klika. We are told they have made at least one previous visit. American explorers are just fantastic, they are capable of discovering what never existed!, Shangri-La one day, Dracula's castle another. I bet you they will discover themselves one day!

The Health Condition of President Milosevic Requires his Release! By letter dated September 18, 2003 a group of 10 German medical doctors and therapists has again addressed the Tribunal at The Hague demanding that mr. Milosevic be allowed a medical cure and to prepare for his defence in freedom. Noting that the proceedings against mr. Milosevic has been repeatedly interrupted for health reasons and that this week a session had to be stopped due to an acute attack of heart and vascular disease, the German doctors point out, that "What is relevant regarding this has been communicated already by the cardiologist Dr. P. R. M. van Dijkman, when in his report dated November 18, 2002 he mentioned the possibility of coronary disease, cerebrovascular accident, heart attack and death". "Recent events compel us to stress your duty to exercise proper care and supervision," the German doctors write, noting that "there is still no regular cardiologic supervision taking place, which to us seems irresponsible..." While finally there has been a reduction of the number of trial sessions per week and session hours per day, the volume of material produced by the Prosecution is said to have increased by another 400,000 pages, not to mention video and audio tapes. Such a volume is considered impossible to deal with in the allotted time, causing a serious stress factor directly threatening mr. Milosevic's health. Considering mr. Milosevic's hypertension and increased infarct risk, the doctors appeal to the Tribunal not to practice any kind of "non-comforting" treatment. It is indispensable to delay the proceedings for a longer period with respect to the health condition of mr. Milosevic, - the three months now granted for the preparation of his defence being totally insufficient. "Mr. Milosevic should be provisionally released for a longer period of time, so that during the preparation of his defence he can have medical treatment and supervision by his long time doctors in Belgrade," the German doctors state. The letter is signed by the spokesperson for the Initiative, Dr. med. Uta Mader, a Medical Doctor and member of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) and by nine German collegues of distinction. The SLOBODA/Freedom Association (http://www.sloboda.org.yu) is inviting medical doctors from other countries to endorse the appeal or to address the Tribunal on their own.

On Thursday trial session Mr. Milosevic saying the court was aware of his unusually high blood pressure for the past eight days, asked presiding judge May (NATO) to enforce his own ruling and give him the long weekend (Fri-Mon) as prescribed by doctors every two weeks for his rest. Prosecutor Nice (NATO) objected on the ground his witnesses could not be held over for such a long time, the troika consulted and reached a compromise decision in that Mr. Milosevic could have Monday off but the Friday session was to take place to finish with the witness, it sounded very much like if Mr. Milosevic was still alive by Tuesday the court will be happy to resume its work. Cast in stone: Lest we forget Not many years ago I visited the Thiepval Memorial in Northern France: The memorial contains the names of 73,357 British and South African men who have no known grave and who were the victims of an aggressive war in the Somme region of France between July 1916 and 20 March 1918. Like so many other such monuments it is an honest endeavour of remembrance. When remains are discovered and identified the name is removed from the Thiepval monument and assigned to an individual grave. What follows is not to belittle the grief of the genuine victims of the civil war in Bosnia. But how can one commemorate the slaughter of 8,000 Muslims when in eight years of searching only some 1,000 victims have been identified: of the some 4,000 remains located how many will be found to be Serbs or Muslim victims of Muslim attacks? Where is the list of names of the 8,000 missing victims at the memorial site and what is arranged for their reassignment when identified as at monuments such as Thiepval? Making a mockery of war memorials: So what do we make of the Srebrenica monument to the massacre of 8,000: a tribute to disinformation: How can one ‘Lest we forget’ a lie? What can we make of a memorial of which the Bosnian Serbs, victims of Muslim atrocities, were “ordered” to contribute more than one million dollars to cement a lie against them? What plans have been made to commemorate the thousands of Serbs victims? Will Clinton return to Bosnia for the unveiling of a monument to their great ‘hero’, Nasir Oric, once he is absolved of his crimes by the ICTY? One day no doubt there will also be a monument to Billy Liar himself noting his impeachment for being economical with the truth.

MILOSEVIC ON TRIAL FOR WAR CRIMES? When the JURIST's "Milosevic trial news" automatically registers that Billings Gazette, MT (and scores of other provicial papers) have it that "Thousands greet former president Clinton as he arrives in Kosovo", then that's got nothing to do with Clinton of course, or with Hashim Thaqi or other Kosovar war criminals for that matter, but with the fact that an Associated Press writer, Garentina Kraja, did not fail to include something like this: "Milosevic is now on trial at a UN tribunal in the Netherlands for atrocities committed in Kosovo and other Balkan wars." Garentina Kraja did not mention however, that William J. Clinton is no longer under investigation for atrocities committed in the White House, - so maybe that's in fact what he is? (Now let's see if/when this "comment" is picked up by the Billings Gazette, MT, the Google News - and eventually even by the JURIST "Milosevic trial news"...)

President Milosevic has been charged with the murder of former Serbia President Stambolic & attempted murder of Serbian Renewal Movement leader Vuk Draskovic -- just as Clinton is receiving accolades in both Bosnia & Kosovo. Whatever witnesses for the Proscution remain to be examined, that is not going to change the NATO's case for the better, - and it could hardly change it for the worse, either. Hence mr. Milosevic might simply file a motion for acquittal on all charges as soon as the Prosecutor’s case is closed (and prior to embarking on prepairing any presentation of evidence on his own). So Iraq is about to allow foreigners to control and own all its land labour and means of production except for oil and mineral rights! Not a bad effort by the Bush boys. Like Clinton, they bomb the daylights out of a country and then walk in and make themselves at home by installing puppets to run the show for them, DEMOCRATICALLY of course! Shades of what happened in YU, isn't it? Milosevic was in the way so he had to be removed. Saddam was in the way so he had to be removed. Now we're looking at Iran and N Korea. They're not playing ball so they are obviously the next targets. Seems that if you don't do as you're told you're dead meat. Slobo will at least earn the right to be the first martyr against the New World Order. The motto is, privatise or perish = Sell your ass to the rich and powerful for a pittance so they can then screw you for free and "in perpetuum". And our free press and media just watch and applaud this strategy, worse still, even contribute as accomplices by knowingly spreading myths and fables about democracy and Nirvana in "liberated" countries such as Serbia, Afghanistan and Iraq. Makes you want to puke!
