DOME CROSS STOLEN FROM SERBIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH IN KOSOVO CAPITAL

Pristina, 17 January: The cross on the main dome of the Sveti Nikola Orthodox Church in Pristina has been removed and stolen.

The same church was set on fire during the March riots in Kosovo (in 2004). According to the Beta news agency, a part of the metal fence surrounding the church was also taken.

During the riots of 17 and 18 March 2004, a total of 37 churches were set on fire, some of which date back to the fourteenth century.
