B92 - September 9, 2004

Kosovo Polje, 9 September: A group of young Albanian nationalists threw stones at a group of Serbian students in Kosovo Polje today.

Municipal Coordinator Sladjana Denic said that the attack occurred while the students were walking down the street going from the school to the nearby stadium, where their buses were waiting to take them home.

No-one was injured, but many of the students were frightened, said Denic.

Denic criticized UN forces in Kosovo for not doing more to secure the school and other educational premises of the region.
