PRISTINA -- Wednesday - UNMIK Legal Director Thomas Monahan said that the international prosecutor's office has filed "the first serious charges" against six Albanians for crimes related to the March riots in Kosovo.

Agron Ibrahimi, Nedzat Radmadani, Ssacira Brahimi, Dzeljadin Salihu, Sadri Ssabani and Agim Abdulahu are charged for the March 17 brutal beating of Slobodan Peric and his mother Anka, who died shortly after the attack.

Of the six who stand accused, Abdulahu is the only one who is still at large.
