Blic - September 4, 2004

Gillian Higgins was yesterday officially appointed together with Steven Key by the Trial Chamber of the Hague Tribunal for defender of Slobodan Milosevic.

As 'Blic' finds out, she was initially working for the prosecution in preparation of indictment against former president of Serbia and Yugoslavia. Then she acted as legal consultant of the Tribunal and friend of the court in the phase of defense.

Belgrade lawyer Toma Fila said that Milosevic was not going to complain over decision by the Hague tribunal 'because he does not recognize that court'.

British lawyer Steven Key enjoys reputation of experienced defender especially proved in the right of the people indicted by the international courts.
