SERBIAN POLICE NAB KOSOVO ALBANIAN WITH 10 KILOS OF HEROIN

Belgrade, 18 June: Ten kilos of heroin worth around 500,000 euros have been found in a car driven by an Albanian from Kosovo at the Horgos border crossing point (Serbian-Hungarian border), the Finance Ministry's customs administration reported today.

The drugs were discovered at around 1600 (1400 gmt) yesterday in a BMW car with German licence plates, driven by Kosovo Albanian Adem Redzepi, 31, in 20 packets weighing 500 grams each.

The drugs were seized by members of the police anti-crime squad and customs administration, under the command of the investigation judge and deputy district prosecutor in Subotica.

The value of the drugs is estimated to be around 500,000 euros, the statement said.
