POLICE TO PROBE DEATH OF BOSNIAN CITIZEN LINKED TO BESLAN
Nezavisine Novine - September 7, 2004

Sarajevo: The B-H Security Ministry will call on domestic security agencies to check the information about the killing in Chechnya of a Bosnian citizen who was allegedly linked to the North Ossetian terrorist attack, B-H Security Minister Barisa Colak said yesterday.

"I have no information on the alleged terrorist from B-H who was killed in Chechnya. I really do not know anything about that, but I will order our security agencies to check the information and establish whether that person was a B-H citizen or only a B-H passport holder," Colak said.

The UK's Guardian newspaper conveyed the information reported by Moskovskiy Komsomolets, which carried a list of foreign fighters killed in Chechnya.

"Moskovskiy Komsomolets journalist Aleksander Voronin has published a list of five foreign fighters who were killed by the Russian special police in Chechnya. They were volunteers from Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Bosnia-Hercegovina and Algeria," The Guardian reported in yesterday's issue.
