RUSSIAN MINISTER WARNS OF NEW PROVOCATIONS BY ALBANIAN EXTREMISTS IN KOSOVO

Istanbul, 28 June: New provocations by Albanian extremists, better prepared and on a larger scale, should not be ruled out in Kosovo, Russian Foreign Minister told a meeting of the Russia-NATO Council in Istanbul.

Lavrov noted that it would be much more difficult to deal with such provocations than before. "The mandate for the Kosovo force was written in Brussels and it contains all that is needed to curb extremists", he stressed.
