JUSTICE DENIED: ICTY IMPOSES A LAWYER ON MILOSEVIC
www.slobodan-milosevic.org - September 2, 2004

The so-called "tribunal" in the Hague has decided to impose a lawyer on Slobodan Milosevic against his will. The tribunal ruled on September 2nd that Milosevic would be assigned a defense lawyer in spite of his objections.

The tribunal has attempted to justify its shameful, and illegal decision out of an alleged concern for the health of Milosevic.

In spite of their professed concern for his health they denied his request to be examined by doctors of his own choosing. He had requested to be examined by Russian, Greek and Serbian doctors. The tribunal denied his request. The tribunal's doctors judged Milosevic to be too sick to represent himself, and the tribunal refuses to allow any other doctors to examine him.

Milosevic has vowed to appeal this illegal decision.

By this illegal act the tribunal has totally discredited itself. They are openly denying Slobodan Milosevic his legitimate right to defend himself from the false accusations that they are making against him.

It is no coincidence that this disgusting decision was taken at the very moment that he was to begin calling his defense witnesses. The tribunal is terrified of what Milosevic can prove by questioning his own witnesses, and so they have decided to deny him his fundamental right to self-defense.

More analysis of this violent perversion of justice will be printed here in the near future.
