SERB GRAVESTONES DESECRATED IN KOSOVO TOWN

Obilic, 4 December: Unidentified persons last night desecrated five gravestones at the new Serb cemetery Markovac in Plemetina near Obilic.

"The bust of Goran Jovic was broken, while the rest of the monuments were destroyed and flowers from the vases on the graves lay scattered around the graves," local Krsta Jovic confirmed to SRNA.

The last in the series of vandal acts was reported to the international police, but according to Jovic only Albanian members of the Kosovo police service came at the scene. An investigation is under way.
