UNSOLVED GORAZDEVAC MURDERS SPUR ALBANIAN
VIOLENCE - KOSOVO SERB BODY CHIEF
BBC Monitoring - August 14, 2004
Belgrade, 13 August: The head of the Kosovo-Metohija Coordination Centre,
Nebojsa Covic, has said it is regrettable that to this day Kfor (NATO-led Kosovo
Force) and UNMIK (UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo) have not found
the perpetrators of the murders of two and wounding of four children in
Gorazdevac (on 13 August 2003) and by this "a message is being sent to Serbs to
question whether they should even think about taking part in elections in
Kosovo-Metohija."
"It is regrettable that the murders have not been solved, along with many
others, as this encourages (ethnic) Albanian extremists and terrorists to
continue with their violence against and expelling of Serbs," Covic told
journalists in Belgrade.
According to him, the message to Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija is that there is no
possibility of the multiethnic existence which has been talked about.
