Serbia's seventh multiparty presidential election
Tanjug - June 7, 2004
15:26 BELGRADE , June 7 (Tanjug) - Serbia's
citizens will on June 13, at the seventh presidental election since the
introduction of the multiparty system in 1990, elect the fourth president of the
Republic, choosing among 15 candidates.
It is expected that this time, after three unsuccessful attempts, a president
will finally be elected, since the Republican Government has recently removed
the "stumbling-block" by annulling the required electorate turnout of more than
50 percent in the first round.
