Tadic new Serbian president, CeSID

21:18 BELGRADE , June 27 (Tanjug) - According to the preliminary results
which the Centre for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID) presented late on
Sunday, candidate of the Democratic Party (DS) Boris Tadic has won at the
elections for the Serbian president.
On the basis of 60 percent of the data CeSID processed by 8.45 p.m., the turnout
was 48.5 percent, and presidential candidate of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS)
Tomislav Nikolic won 45.1 percent, i.e. a million and 430,000 votes, while Tadic
got 53.5 percent, i.e. a million and 690,000 votes.
